Event Post Type Won’t Show “Page Options” Box

  • Hi, I am a new WordPress user, I am having trouble with the “Event” post type. Some checkmarks in Screen Options >> Boxes won’t show up, including “Page Options” which is the one I need. Please help.

    Page Options? Not Page Attributes? There is no page options in core code, only page attributes. If you really are missing page options, its definition would have been due to a plugin. In that case, I suggest you ask in the specific support forum for that plugin.

    On the off chance you mean page attributes, the post type needs to be registered where the “supports” argument list includes “page-attributes”. Unless the post type is hierarchical, all the box will show is the “order” field. Only actual pages have a template field.
