I already have a post type called event in my functions.php the plugin overrided this post type properties on activation and my theme event custom posts (with an other slug) were unusable.

On plugin deactivation the problems where still there, I had to flush rewrite rules to get back my custom posts.

Would it be possible to check if event post type already exists on installation. And to flush rewrite rules on deactivation ?

I could rename EM post type under events-manager/em-posts.php and flush rewrite rules but when I update the plugin it will not work again. Will it ?
