Event Organiser calender widget does not show private events when logged in.
-
How to reproduce using Event Organiser 3.1.1:
– Login to your wordpress backend via /wp-admin
– Add the calendar widget to your theme if not already present (Appearance -> Widgets)
– Double check in the Event Organiser settings that the role of your user has the permission “read_private_events”
– Select “Add New” in the sidebar of the Event Organiser menu
– Specify event title: “My event”
– Set event visibility to “Private”
– Publish event, i.e. event status changes to “Privately Published”
– Visit your event archive, e.g. https://<yoursite>/events/event/ and you will see a new event with the title “Private: My event” unless you log out from your siteBug: Your private event is not added to the calendar widget in your WordPress theme while you are logged in. However, the private event is displayed in the calendar view in the backend. Private posts/pages in WordPress are listed with the prefix “Private: ” whilst the user logged in and has the appropriate rights.
