Until today I was a satisfied user of event-organiser. But somehow it disappeared from my website. It is still there on the server, but it does not work anymore and it is invisible in the plug-in list in the admin mode. It’s sad, because I entered many events. They should still be in my database. There is a change that the problem has to do with the plug-in W3 Total Cache. I disabled that, which solved a lot of other problems, but event-organiser stays invisible, as well as the events on my website.

    My website is https://beveiligingnieuws.nl

What you see under ‘agenda’ are not the events, but news posts with event as category. The real events are gone on the website. Help!

Is it possible that if I install the plug-in event-organiser again, that the events will be visible again?

    Hi Vincent,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plug-in. While I can’t confirm this without inspecting the database, from what you’ve told me I have no reason to believe that you may have lost your events.

Instead, it sounds like that WordPress is having trouble reading the event-organiser directory, which you mention is still present. This would explain why the plug-in has ‘disappeared’. One thing you may want to check is the permissions on that folder, as compared to other plug-ins you can see.

As a last resort, you can delete the directory via FTP and re-install the plug-in. Your events should still be present (if they still are).

Before doing anything though I’d strongly recommend that you back up your database.
