Event-O-Matic – Feature Requets

can the event-o-matic plug in be customized to add in additional fields?

and also to setup how you want the event to be viewed? I found the plug-in on the sweat records site and want to be able to customize my events similarly with text wrapping around the image, etc

Tweaking the visuals can be done by modifying your theme stylesheet to your liking.

I’m liking the direction of this plugin a lot! Thank you for your work.

Feature Request #1: I can’t completely use it yet because I need the user to be able to choose or not include a venue. Maybe the site owner can choose to make a requirement or not? The Google mapping is not completely necessary for most of my projects but I could see others wanting to use it specifically for this. The main feature I like about your plugin is that user can submit their own events. ??

Feature Request #2: Maybe I completely missed it but a must-have for most of my projects is a big calendar that is flexible (so it can fit in different page widths) and looks clean and where all the entries display. I figured yours had one but I couldn’t find it. Looks like you mainly have a listing. Am i right?

Feature Request #3: Give user the option to upload a file from his/her computer in addition to image URL.

Feature Request #4: Entries are also posts and calendar has RSS feed.

fields i would like options for

– multiple bands on a bill
– more space for event info or band bio
– advance ticket price
– day of show ticket price
– age limit
– artist facebook page
– artist youtube site
– artist soundcloud page
– facebook event page

for the social networking sites the links should be the social network graphic

also the option to be able to utilize basic html code (bold, underline, italic) in the text box or band bio space – and the ability to have space breaks and hyperlinks within the bio

Folks, the new version is out. International addresses are possible. I am internationalizing the plugin now, I would love for other languages and nationalities to contribute.

Version 2.0 has been out for a couple weeks. I just updated and released 2.0.1 about an hour ago. Get it while it’s hot.

I have upgraded to version 2.0.1. Unfortunately I still have the same issue with the addresses. Although the addresses that I have put in for my venues are working with google maps they do not work on with your plugin. Do you have any ideas?

Marcus, could you send me the addresses you’ve had issues with? I’ll test and verify them independently and get them working right for you.

The venue’s address is funny. Even in Google it won’t resolve to any specific address. The only location it recognizes is:

Queen’s Quay, Belfast BT5 4, UK
