    Hi,

I’m starting a new thread to make it easier to track if you don’t mind. I’ve have confirmed with a fresh install of WP, Event Manager, and BuddyPress that when an event is linked or tied to a Group, it does not show up for non-logged in users nor logged in users. It only shows up for logged in users who belong to that group.

Let me know if you have confirmed this on your end and if there is a timeframe to get it resolved.

    Thank you,
    Bruce

  • Hello,

Do you have any rules that would be hiding the content for certain users.

No rules, I installed it as is, and did not touch any settings.

when an event is to assigned to a group it will be private to that group.

Angelo, your logic does make sense. However, there is room for improvement. If it’s a Public Group, I think the event should be displayed for everyone.

Or even better to give an option for Group admin to decide whether they want to display the event for everyone or just group members. The reason is that all groups on my site have public events and they would like to get as many attendants as possible.

Let me know what you think.

I came up with a workaround. I changed the message about the Group attachment selection using the Loco Translate plugin.

    Admin of a group message:
Select a group you admin to attach this event to it. Note: Event attached to a group will only be visible to members of that group. Leave it as “Not a Group Event” if you want the event to be visible to everyone.

Not an admin of a group:
If you are an admin of a group, you will have the option to attach an event to that group. The event will only be visible to members of that group.
