    I was adding events to a calendar but they were not showing up on my website. I finally traced the problem to the fact that when I login and add events with the Google address that is linked to the calendar, they post fine. But I shared that calendar with another Google address I own, giving it the power to manage events and sharing administrative rights, and when I add events logged in with that address, the events do not show up on the calendar. It appears to add them, but when I logout and log back in with the original Google addy, the events I created under the other addy are not in there.

    Any idea how to correct this? It appears I’ve been adding events logged in with the email addy the calendar was shared with, but they aren’t really adding to the calendar like they should. Any feedback is welcome!

    Thanks

  • Hello! I am having trouble too. I update the google calendar, but the new or edited events do not show up on my website.

    This is the page: https://www.infinitenutritionabq.com/classes/ – Jan 16 & 17 should display several new events (a weekend workshop).

    I tried:
    -creating a whole new feed (copying ID in again)
    -adding new short code to page
    -waiting…
    -changing display mode (grid to list, and back)
    -disabling and re-activating the plugin

    Please help!

    @wigglepit,

    Hmm ok I was thinking maybe since they weren’t syncing at first that maybe there was an issue there. This is a tough one I will have to think on it some more and try to test out some more stuff and get back to you. Sorry and thank you for your patience.

    @janlguti,

    Did you remove the plugin? All I see is an embedded calendar on there now. Let me know so I can help you out.

    Thanks!

    It was still not syncing properly so I embedded it for now…

    I am also having trouble with this. Four new calendars, four new IDs, none of them displaying on the calendar. col.thelaw.agency

    @hudsonworks,

    I could not find the calendar on your site, do you have a direct link to the page so I can help?

    Thanks

    Hey,
    Sorry, I was doing some Ajax troubleshooting and had to disable plugins. It should be up now: https://col.thelaw.agency

    Thanks

    I’m getting the same problem, an entire feed just isn’t displaying – ‘Upcoming Regular Play’ on comwaytennis.co.uk/diary.

    Despite entering and re-entering the Google Calendar IDs several times, still nothing. I’ve also set Minimum Feed Start Date to 1 year and the Minimum to 6 months without success – although this did work on one of other problem feeds.

    Not sure what to do next…

    Same problem here.

    I am having exactly the same issue. First of all I thought it was because of the user who was adding events to the calendar, that was, for some reason, being blocked on being displayed on the website feed of the calendar, but both users that have successfully posted events are not able to get new events to display on the calendar.

    I installed the plugin a long time back, possibly more than a year ago, and the events that were recurring when the plugin was installed are still showing, but any new events, from November 2014 (and possibly earlier) are just not showing.

    Cache has been repetitively cleared, and all events are showing when viewing the Google map/feed… I couldn’t find any evidence of a cache file on my server, to see if it gets listed but not displayed, but no joy in finding it…

    Strangely, deleting one of the events that is showing (I had one event showing on a Thursday, and 7 not showing) from the Google Calendars removes it from showing, recreating the event does not bring it back (making 8 events NOT showing)

    Any ideas?

    Found how to fix it, from another post on this forum…

    Reduce the ‘Maximum Feed End Date’ setting from the default ‘2 Years’ to ‘6 months’.

    The other postee reckons it is to do with a limit of events, and as my client’s site is a company that provides weekly recurring events, across 10 hours a day, six days a week, this holds out.

    @hudsonworks,

    Just looked at your site again and it looks like you aren’t even using the GCE plugin?

    @keiranwynyard,

    Glad you found a solution. Yes there is a max of 10,000 events that can be pulled so if you have lots of recurring events it can certainly add up quickly.

    @david,

    Can you link your site?

    @decoderltd,

    Couldn’t get your site to load up. Can you post a link again?

    @janlguti,

    I won’t be able to debug it if it is an embedded calendar.

    @wigglepit,

    What are your calendar’s privacy settings? Is everything set to public?

    That’s true. I changed out the plugin last night because I couldn’t figure out a work around. If you solve the issue, I’m definitely interested in reinstalling the plugin and giving it another go.

    Thanks,

    @keiranwynyard, you are awesome! That was my issue, too. I also had numerous recurring events every day, so I changed it to 6 months and it works now. Thank you!

    @nick, yes, my calendar was set to public the whole time. Thanks for trying to help me sort it out.

    @nick Young
    I embedded the calendar just temporarily. Now I’m using the plugin again.

    I tried to Reduce the ‘Maximum Feed End Date’ setting from the default ‘2 Years’ to ‘6 months’ – that works BUT it seems that maybe I have to go to the page I have the short code on and refresh it (even if I didn’t really change anything but the actual google calendar. Is this what others are experiencing?

    Thank you!
