    Hello y’all,

I have defined several widget areas to add an Event List widget and we bought the pro version to filter the list by taxonomy 3 years ago. Since the last two updates I can add the widget, choose a taxonomy, but it’s not saved and reverts to as if nothing was choosen. We work with classic widgets.
Please help — thank you — Phillip

  • Hey @philliproth

    Thank you for reaching out.
You are absolutely right. There seems to be a glitch between the Classic Widgets plugin and the Events List widget.

We’ll look into it and reply back here as soon as a fix is out.

With that in mind, premium add-on support requests have to go through https://theeventscalendar.com/support/ as per www.remarpro.com’s policies.

In the meantime, there might be a workaround (which is a bit hacky). Temporarily check one of the boxes under the Display section of the widget and hit Save.

Once that is done, it should allow you to select and save a taxonomy filter. You can then simply remove the checkbox and hit save.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Thanks Geoff, yes I actually found that hack before. But unfortunately it only seems like it saves the filter, but it doesen’t :-/

Thank you for fixing, looking forward to when it’s done!

    Hi @philliproth,
Just wanted to let you know with our latest release of The Events Calendar Pro 5.13.1, we resolved a few issues with our widgets, and they now play nicely with the Classic Widgets plugin. Be sure to review our Release Notes for more details and update the plugin at your earliest convenience. As always, we recommend testing updates on a staging site first, but it should all be smooth sailing.

    Thanks,
    Rob
