    Hi,

The “Event List” widget has a column headed “Article”. When this column is selected in the widget, future events display “Preview” and past events display “Recap”. So far, so good.

Clicking a “Preview” link takes you to a detailed display with a subheading “Preview”. However, the subheading for a “Recap” link is also “Preview”. This doesn’t make sense as the event has passed. It should be “Recap” or, better still, “Report” in both the Article column and subheading.

I guess I didn’t explain this very well. Forget about widgets and event lists.

Each event has an associated article (text, etc.). If the event is in the future this article is a called a preview, and the article is headed “Preview” when it is displayed. If it’s in the past it’s called a recap, but the article is still headed “Preview” when it is displayed. That’s wrong.

    Hi @pilam,

What theme do you use? With Rookie which is a default theme for SportsPress I have the following:

    Hi @savvas,

I’m using Rookie, but with the Golf option.

    With an upcoming event ( https://snag.gy/6JBfD0.jpg ) I get https://snag.gy/tFJshm.jpg

    But with a past event ( https://snag.gy/qDk3KI.jpg ) I get https://snag.gy/FGe27T.jpg

    Hi @pilam,

It seems that if you dont add any Results at your event, the status stays to Preview. Can you confirm that?

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    Hi @savvas,

That seems to be it. Unfortunately, much as I’d like to, I can’t use Results in a multi-player golf competition as the main event heading changes to a list of all the players “X vs Y vs Z…” and makes it unusable. There are other aspects which make it unsuitable for certain types of popular golf competitions but that’s another matter.

I don’t know why the main heading changes when the result is added, but in the absence of that being fixed the ideal solution would be that “Preview” changes to “Recap” (or, as I mentioned in my OP, “Review”) once the date and time of the event has passed. Anything but “Preview”! ??

    Many thanks for your assistance,

    Pilam.

    Hi @pilam,

In respect of the Event Title, you can manually edit the title to whatever you want. It will only be auto-updated if while you hit the “UPDATE” button, the Title field is empty. If you manually add any other title (i.e. “GRAND FINALE”) it will not changed to X vs Y vs Z etc… ??

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    Hi @savvas,

Yes, I’d edited it but somehow it’s still being overwritten. It may be something I’ve done in settings so I’ll experiment further with it as I’d like to know just how far I can go with it. If there still seems to be a problem I’ll open a new topic.

    Many thanks for your help,

    Pilam.

    Hi @savvas,

Yes, finally resolved thanks, but a couple more problems surfaced in doing so! I’ll post them separately.

    Thanks,

    Pilam.
