not sure if anyone can help – I have tried with Joe but I think Im driving him nuts! I have My Calendar beautifully set up and we love it on website https://www.beaconoflightenfield.co.uk. BUT when we search through Google for an event by name of ‘speaker’ followed simply by Beacon we can see numerous links to our website – that’s great – BUT – the date in the snippet is out of date (must be because it is set up as recurring event maybe – and it shows the date created) and when you click on it you are taken to a weird page – that does not show the event at all! Just forward and backward links to other events and does not open up the calendar page in full or even the event description. At a loss as what to do? anyone got any ideas? should I be entering the dates as individual entries rather than recurring? (I use recurring – then on the relevant dates change the name of speaker) but this is off putting in google search as you can see the Speakers name and then notice the date which is months ago – and forget it! Move on – must be a way to solve this please someone – I have no idea what Im really doing – just clicking my way through the settings to try and solve this issue. Thank you in advance!

The date in the snippet is old, most likely, because these links are unqualified; they don’t include the parameter that indicates what date this event is for. As a result, they show the first event of that name.

If you enable search-friendly permalinks, that may help, because the qualified event URLs will be available; but it won’t totally solve this issue.

One thing I can do is add the list of all event instances displayed when you view the unqualified URL, so that page will lead people to every date that event happens on; but that’s probably the most I can do.
