event limit not working with days with multiple events

    Hi all,

    love the plugin (Y)

    i’m using “[ai1ec view=”posterboard” events_limit=”6″]” on my homepage at https://www.gainsboroughartworks.co.uk/ but unfortunetley when i have multiple events on the 6th da,y it will list all the events on the day so if there is 2 events on the 6th day like today it shows a total of 7 event. as you can imagine the really messes up the look of the site.

    Is there a way of adding this as more solid code or by editing the plugin so that it adheres to the event_limit=”6″ rule better

  • We’re having the exact problem here, https://arizonasunrays.com/. We only want 6 events total to display on the homepage. Did this happen in the latest update?

    not sure its something i only just added to the site. Got around it for now by setting a css Height limit and and then overflow hidden.

    but as you can imagine this isnt a good fix ??

    Yes, not ideal but we may need to implement a bandaid as well. Would love some input from the developer ;).

    Try going to Settings > Viewing Events
    There should be an option that reads:

    In Agenda-like views, include all events from last day shown

    Turning that off may help!

    Thank you ycooper! That worked for us. We must have skimmed right over it since it said “Agenda-like” and we’re using Posterboard. The tooltip does clarify if you take the time to read it ??
