Event in Widget disappearing too early

    Hi, my events are disappearing from the Events widget before the actual start time of the event. For example, tonight there is an event which starts at 6 and goes until 8, but the event is already gone from the widget on my home page. That’s not good beciase people might want to refer to my website to get directions or other information about the event hours before. Is there wa way to set the events widget to last through the end of the event, or perpaps disappear the day after? Thank you, Emily

    You may want to double check the timezone of your site – default behaviour is for the event to be removed from the widget after it starts (or finishes – according to Settings > Event Organiser > General).

    If events are disappearing ‘before’ then, it may be that the timezone of your site does not correspond to the timezone you’re in. You can set this by going to Settings > General. It’s recommended to choose a city rather than fixed offset. (This may be another reason for what you’re seeing – if where you live observes DST).
