Event filter and search

Hi guys, i wonder if you can help me, please see the attached image, what im trying to do is have some buttons, that if i click on the month or the year it will then filter my list to show only the relevant month and year, is this possible and if so can someone please help me to compile the code. The image below shows you what im trying to achieve,
