    Is this intended behaviour:

When adding a new event at a new location
the Event Details are copied to the Location Details

so my Event= ‘tonight only at lake wazzapamani’
and my Location= ‘tonight only at lake wazzapamani’

when outputting the data I get

    DESCRIPTION
-> tonight only at lake wazzapamani = what I expect
    LOCATIONNOTES
-> tonight only at lake wazzapamani = not what I expect

with Settings > Single location page format placeholders
    #_DESCRIPTION
    #_LOCATIONNOTES

    thanks for your time.

  • I thing _DESCRIPTION is nothing official, perhaps legacy as I have spotted wrong data there as well.
    Use
    #_NOTES

Thank you both for the reply.
(FYI I used the placeholders from the help file)

I’ll try to rephrase the problem:

    We’re in Admin now.

I added a new event for a new location (not in the list of My Locations)

When I view that location in ‘Locations’ All locations (> select it)
I can see the content of the event in ‘Details’.
Somehow event details are copied in location details.

When I view Taaffes Bar (which is in My Locations) there’s nothing in Details.
Am I making any sense here?

i see what you mean now.
hmm… that might be a bug, will check that out.

I can confirm with zyrq. If a user turns off Location dropdowns like in my case, what is displayed is the Location Notes and they cannot and will not be updated as administrators update the Event Details.

This is definitely not useable at its current state.

Should be fixed in 4.13 as per the Changelog
