event details: physical adress not showing

    Hi, I am building a website with theme twenty twenty-two (child-theme), using your plugin Event Post.
    I am creating an even (post) template, and whereas the event details attributes ‘start’ and ‘date’ show up fine (either using the shortcodes or the Event Details Block), the attributes ‘address’ and ‘location’ do not show any physical address.

    – If in the post I select ‘Physical’ location, the address I fill in will not show on the post.
    – If in the post I select ‘Online’ location, the link I fill for the online meeting in DOES show in the post.
    – If in the post I select ‘Mixed’ location, the link to the online meeting DOES show, but the address of the physical location DOES NOT.

    My website is still a local installation, so I can’s share any link unfortunately.

    My WP version is 6.0.2. and in this moment there are no plugins whatsoever installed, other than Event Post.

    I use plugin version 5.7. (Also tried the beta version, but that did not work either, and the ‘Event details block’ disappeared in that version.)

    Any help will be much appreciated!!

    Hello ! Thanks for your feedback, after a review of our plugin i can’t see your problem.
    Everything is fine on our side. Maybe it’s a problem from your child theme, i have tested with twenty twenty-two and it works.

    Hi Enzo,

    thank you for coming back to me! I made a fresh install, but the problem persists. Also with the original twenty twenty-two theme, so it does not depend on my child-theme.

    Actually (I did not mention this yesterday), another weird thing happens: my post does not seem to remember whatever I fill in the address field. After each save & refresh, the address disappeares.

    It also happens when I use different browsers (Firefox and Chrome and Safari).

    I tried changing to different PHP versions, from 5.6.39 up to 8.0.0, and both with NGINX and APACHE (no idea if this was related, but I wanted to try everything), but none of this would help.

    Could you give me any idea about what else to check and what it could depend on?

    Hi again, I found out that the address is ONLY displayed if the fields with the GPS coordinates are filled in. Once something is filled in there, I can write anything in the address field and that will be displayed.
    Since I don’t need the map, at first I had left those GPS fields empty…
    So now all is fine.
