Hi, I am using the free version of the Event Calendar and it had been working fine while my site was in staging and now it’s not working. The site is now live but the widget is not showing up on the page and I just published an event but it’s not showing up. The Add Event section on my WordPress dashboard is also looking strange when I open it up.

The site is: https://www.gijf.org. I’m using a Safari browser Version 18.0.1 (20619.1.26.31.7) and WordPress 6.6.2. The site is hosted by GoDaddy – I am a web designer and I have delegate access to the account. Our theme is Astra and I am using Spectra for some page design (both free versions). All of my plugins are updated so I’m not sure what the issue is. Again, everything was working fine while I was designing the site and then it just stopped working.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi @cmkauder,

Thanks for using our products. Could you let us know what widget are you using in your home page?

Also, we have launched a new release of our plugin today. Kindly update it and let us know if the issue persists.

    Hi,

I just updated the plugin and the issue is still persisting.

I’m not sure if it’s exactly a widget, but I chose the Events List block inside the container and when I go into my editor, the block is just spinning. On the live site the container is just blank. The url is: https://gijf.org

When you go to the home page, the blank white section above “Hear From Our Music Community” should be the Events List section.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi @cmkauder

    Thanks for your message.

I attempted to recreate the issue on a new test site by activating The Events Calendar and Spectra plugins alongside the Astra theme. After thorough testing, I found that the widget performed correctly during both the preview and when viewing it on the frontend. Everything appeared to function as intended without any problems.

There may be a possibility of a conflict between your other plugins/themes. To prevent any issues from arising, it would be great if we could conduct a conflict test on a Staging Server to get to the root of the problem.

If that doesn’t help, would you mind sharing the PHP and WordPress versions that you’re using.

    Looking forward to your reply.

I just deleted the Event Tickets plugin because that is not something we need – issue is still persisting. Thanks!

Hi again, I was able to resolve the issue of the events showing up on the website. However, the interface on my Word Press dashboard looks weird when I go to add an event. The fields to fill in the event details (date, time, etc.) are all smushed over to the right side of the screen instead of underneath the description of the event. Is there a way for me to customize the dashboard for adding events?

Thank you for all of your help!

    Hi @cmkauder ,

Thank you for your message, and we’re glad to hear you were able to sort out the issue about the events showing up on the website.

For your concern about The Events Calendar fields box being on the right side of the screen, I suspect this happened because the box was inadvertently dragged and dropped over to the right hand column. I would recommend dragging it over back to the middle column or use a third-party plugin, Reset Meta Box Positions, to restore the placement of the fields boxes in your admin dashboard.
