Event Calendar, non-widget

My theme is based on Blix, it doesn’t work with widgets. Now I realize I should fix this issue, but until I have the time to get into that, I’m looking for a calendar for events that doesn’t require me to use a widget-friendly theme. What I want to do is to enter dates of upcoming shows (it’s a music webzine) and have them displayed in my sidebar when they’re as close as two months away, and of course have them expire when it’s past that date. I’m sure there must be a theme that does exactly this, just can’t find it.
