Evenly space the nav menu

Not sustainably because items in the menu can be added, renamed and removed.

How about centering them?

Yeah, do you have a part of the dashboard named, “Custom CSS” (or similar) or are you using a Child Theme?

I have installed a child theme to customize the footer message. I’m still learning WordPress, any tips would be much appreciated.

At the bottom of your Child Theme style.css file add this:

.navigation-main ul {
 display: table;
 margin: 0 auto;
}
