Even when contact email is set as required, quiz may be submitted without it.

We have set the email as mandatory in quiz settings, as shown here: https://paste.pics/R0YYD but it still may be submitted without entering email. Can you help please, how this can be changed?

Hello,
Thank you for sharing the details with us. We tried replicating an environment like your website using the same plugins and other configurations, but we couldn’t replicate the same issue that you’re facing. To dive deep into this, we need your help so that we could get to the root of the problem. We request that you please create and share a screen recording similar to the one shared here. This will help us understand the whole troubleshooting process and the errors if there are any.
We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Warm regards,
AviOf course, not a problem, here: https://fex.net/s/orsxdtp
as you may see from the video, I’m saving the email field for the form as required, updating page with the form, then filling it (leaving email field empty), pressing submit button – and form submits without any problems and showing the results.
Hi @romantic20,
Thank you so much for sharing the screencast with us. We noticed that the steps you followed are a bit different from what we needed. Could you kindly review the screencast we sent and follow those steps? This will help us understand the issue more clearly.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
SadiyaHi Sadiya,
We have run a troubleshoot, looks like email is mandatory on default theme, even with all other plugins enabled. So we have a conflict with theme here. Do you have any ideas why it may be so, what in theme may cause your check for email to not work?
Hi @romantic20,
Thank you for confirming the issue with the theme. We truly appreciate your proactive involvement.
We initially suspected a conflict between your custom theme’s script file and our qsm-quiz.js file, which was causing form submission difficulties and validation errors. Hence, reproducing the video clip we shared was required.
Now, that the conflict with the theme is confirmed, to address this, we highly recommend reaching out to your theme provider for assistance in resolving this conflict. Due to their familiarity with the theme’s scripts, they will be best equipped to provide a solution tailored to your specific setup.
Rest assured, if you need any further assistance or have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
SadiyaCurrently I am working as this theme’s developer) Unfortunately there are no errors in the console, when the conflict occurs, so may you have ideas that may point out to the source of the conflict?
Maybe it has something to do with the way jquery is added to the theme?
Hello @romantic20,
We’ve noticed an error appearing in the console on page load, not on submission, which seems to be a compatibility issue. Could you please check for any compatibility issues and ensure that the script version loaded by your custom theme matches the version used by WordPress?
Additionally, we recommend following WordPress standards when enqueueing any scripts to help avoid such issues.
Warm regards,
SadiyaWhich exactly script do you mean, jquery?
