EU VAT Number check

    I want to check if the customer entered a valid VAT-number, because I want them automatically exempt them from the tax they have to pay. I found the following plugin:

    Looks like it will get the job done. However, I could not find if it will check if the (billing) address is the same as the registered address of the VAT-number.

    If this is not the case, international (private) customers can enter some business’ address and get the prodct for a lower price. This also implies when it’s send to another address than the billing address.

    Anyone know if this plugin is capable of comparing the entered address from the VIES-database?

    Or maybe another plugin that gets the job done?

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that you are interested in the EU VAT Number plugin and would like to know if it validates the inputted billing address versus the registered address of the VAT Number.

    Since this is more of a presales question, can you please open a support request so that the developers of the plugin could provide the correct answer for you?

    I have submitted a request and am waiting for a reply.

    However, if you (or anyone else) knows another solution I am open to it.

    It doesn’t have to be the plugin that I mentioned above, may be any other plugin too.

    Or any other options are also welcome.
