• Anothing thing: EU GDPR

In europe it’s forbidden to store cookies as long as the user has explicity allowed the website to store cookies. Means: The cookie handling isn’t GDPR conform.

I don’t know how to handle it right, maybe via hooks to famous GDPR plugins, via shortcode for GDPR plugins or a JS snippet for such plugins.

I will work around it by commenting out the php cookie section and replace it through jQuery in a GDPR plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi @mikeknappe

I’m not 100% sure on all the specifics around GDPR but would it be resolved by making the plugin compatible with a plugin like GDPR cookie consent?

Our plugin would check if a visitor accepted the cookie consent from that plugin, if he didn’t accept them we don’t use cookies, if he did then we do.
