ethos Theme, post carousel

  • Hello.
    I’ve been having a problem with the post carousel option in Ethos theme. Is it possible to use for this option: slider with text, other plugin like Huge IT or Meta slider? I can choose only in the slider settings below masthead Revolution slider and I can only fill the short code from other sliders directly in the pages. Other Possibility is tu use the post slider, because it’s great for me, but I must fill for the author and date other things, but this is not possible at the moment.
    I look in the forum or in other documents, but I don’t find a similar question. At the moment the website is only local, so the link is not useful for you.
    Can you please help me? By the way, I’m new in wordpress so, do go in detail if you can.
