The plugin does not work, it never downloads the photos. It stays in ”Still resizing” mode. I use Chaplin theme, not too many plugins yet. WP 5.4.

You would replace the current version.
    Use 4.2

So it looks like PUT is not enabled in Cpanel by default.

    https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/put-method-enabled.471081/

This would then cause a lot of people issues, I imagine.

4.2 seems to work. For anyone reading: you must first deactivate and delete the current version. Then install the older version.

@westbard Instead of the Instant Images button in the classic editor, you can access Instant Images directly from the ‘Add Media’ modal. This is a much better experience for users who are actually trying to insert images into content.

Also, I may try using POST vs PUT to see if that clears up any issues for users.

Thanks. I know about how the new version moves the feature to the Add Media modal. I was just giving you (another) data point from a user who prefers the old method. Why not offer both? Options are always good.

@dcooney Just wanted to stop by to say I did a fresh install on an AWS server setup through gridpane and the latest version didn’t work. I tried 4.2 and it seems to be working well.

    Hope this helps,

@alexbacarella Can you check if PUT requests are enabled on the server?

    Same problem here.

Running GridPane Linode instance (NGINX environment).

4.3.1 runs the infinite “Still resizing”

Downgraded to 4.2 and it works fine.

    Can you refactor please?

@twd hmm. Did you see my comment above? Please confirm whether PUT is enabled.
    Thanks.

“Nginx by default, does not accept PUT, DELETE PATCH http verbs, however some plugins require these to be functioning”

    https://gridpane.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036086532-Making-Nginx-Accept-PUT-DELETE-and-PATCH-verbs

So to answer your question, no.
The PUT option is not enabled.

I think the number of WordPress users who feel inclined to fiddle with NGINX configuration via CLI is going to be pretty small, which limits this plugin to Apache environment.

    That would be a shame.
Excellent plugin that use on ALL my sites.

Is there a way for you to refactor the plugin to use POST instead?

Yea, I’ll look at switching to a POST. can’t remember why I choose PUT to begin with.

Closing this thread and I believe most issues were PUT vs POST. Open a new thread if the problem persists.

Hey @dcooney. Awesome plugin. Experiencing the same “Still resizing” issue. No issues with permissions. It’s a very new site. Rolled back to 4.2.0 version and it works fine.
