  • Same problem here. More details:

    WordPress version: 4.5.3
    All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly version: 2.5.5

When you try to add a new event, in EVENT LOCATION DETAILS, the google map part displays an error: A problem occured, check your console for more info.

And in console, I see a google map api error: MissingKeyMapError

How can we fix this? Should we wait for an update in the plugin or can we add our own API keys?

    Hi,

Does the map appears on the frontend? Or you can not even set up a map in the backend?

I can’t make a new map from the backend…as I am just starting to use the plugin on a site, I am not sure if it will display on the front end?!? Back a few days ago, I know google changed how they allow access to the API’s for maps, you need an individual API to continue to use it from what I can tell.

    Hi all.

Starting June 22, 2016, Google began asking for an API key when using Google Maps.

We will add a setting that will let you input your API key and we should release an update tomorrow.

Meanwhile, here are the instructions to get an API key: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#get-an-api-key

    Thanks!

    Hi all.

We’ve just released the new version 2.5.6 adding Google Maps API Key field in the settings page.

So I created an API from google as per the instructions, then pasted it into the API Field box on the settings page, but still get the same error when I create events….am I missing something? I disabled all the plugins, and still had the same issue. I am developing on a localhost currently so I can’t share a URL for you.
