Estimating time for text on archive page instead of each blog’s length
-
I’ve been using the Brizy page builder. Created a custom layout for blog posts and archive pages.
I was able to implement the shortcode in the layout design for blog posts. However, when I try to do the same thing on archive pages, it seems like instead of putting an estimated reading time for each post, it’s estimating how long it would take to read all the excerpts showing on the archive page and then putting the archive page’s reading time under each blog post.
I’m guessing it has something to do with getting the shortcode to associate with each individual blog entry on the archive rather than the archive as a whole. Brizy has this feature where you can use hashtags to display post name, author, date, etc., but without being able to do that with the shortcode, it’s estimating the archive’s reading time. I just need to know how to tell the shortcode to estimate reading time for the content that it’s displayed with.
As you can see in this screenshot, the estimated reading time is the same for both posts. But it shouldn’t be. If you click each post, neither of them has a 3-min reading time.
