establishing database connection while installing wordpress on 000webhosting.com

  • Hi, Respected. I am a beginner to using WordPress so I choose 000webhosting.com to get free hosting to create a website for testing. When I installed WordPress on my site under build website section, A pop-up dialog has appeared. I keep the username as it is and put the password then click install. WordPress has installed successfully. But when I clicked on ‘Go to configuration page’ I see this info “Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost blah blah blah…
    I have entered correct usename password. Kindly tell me what should I do?

    Hello, I gave a link while posting my query. After submitting my query when I clicked in this link “https://letmetestagain.000webhostapp.com/wp-admin/” I saw my WordPress dashboard. I am happy to see it but, when I just put my website link to the browser, again I find the same database connection error. Kindly help

    Call the host and ask them for help on this one. It’s probably a slight glitch since it’s intermittent and I figure they can help you with that better than we could.

    It’s not a WordPress issue.
