Essential plugin

Installing this plugin should be the first thing you do when setting up a WordPress site. In fact it should be packaged with the templates like Akismet is. I learnt this the hard way by having my first WP site hacked almost immediately. I have relied on Wordfence to keep my sites safe ever since. If you can afford it, then pay these guys for keeping us all safe from the hacking vandals.
