Essential Little Plugin

  • Always my first plugin activation. Does almost all the niggling little tasks I do after every fresh install.

    One suggestion for improvement – can you make the plugin uncheck the “Organise my uploads into month- and year-based folders” in Settings > Media as I really don’t see the point of this, and if you forget, it really makes your media even harder to manage when it gets big.

    Also, given that it is likely the site will be a dev site initially, it would be useful to also check “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”.

    And maybe get the plugin to ask for timezone and language?

    Just some thoughts ??
