    Hi,

It seems like the plug in is missing some key features to enable full eSport league support.

See a single league can have teams go head to head in many game formates, capture the flag, bomb modes, team death match, free for all and hostage modes. Those are some basic examples of say call of duty, counter strike or unreal or rainbow six.

The main problem is displaying these different event types and the results, see you cant have a match based on hostages saved or lost displaying the number of flag captures by both teams, of the number of bombs defused. Also games can have multipe rounds, for now I have no problem setting up multple events for each round but this could easily be fixed by adding multple results sections to the events results page, titled somehting like round 1, round 1, round 3 etc.

I’ve been playing around with the plugin and have a pretty good understanding of the configuration of the plugin and the equations, but im struggling to find a clean way to display these different event/match types for a single game.

I had plans to purchase multisite when we expand to multiple games but this has really put a dent in the confidence I have in this plugin, we’re currently making use of the pro version.

Over all the plugin is great hands down you’ve done an amazing job, but its missing some key basic features to support an eSports league fully, and actual games like cricket.

    Thanks

    Mark

  • @denbot following, trying to figure the esports out as well. I am I bought the pro plugin with multi site and running into a few other issues.

Question are you taking any form of payment to register or how are you managing that?

    Hi Mark!

    Thanks for reaching out!

We were discussing this in the Pro channel as well, so I’ll mark this as resolved.

The solution is using different event outcomes, results, stats for each sport. This makes the data storage possible.

When it comes to display this really depends on your theme. It is fairly simple to add some custom code in your theme to change the display based on custom fields (such as event outcomes) so any good developer can help you with this.

I’m not aware of any theme that has this out of the box though, as this is a fairly custom implementation.

    Thanks!
