    Hello after hitting checkout, paypal shows “error empty cart”

    I tried to troubleshoot.

    change theme to basic
    deactivated plugins
    contacted hosting (hostgator) and ask id register globals = off and phpsessions are saved.
    and still have no luck on fixing this issue. Please help

    Did you try turning off session.auto_start?

    yes we did, we also transfer a copy of the site to another hosting (bluehost) and have the same problem “empty cart” in paypal…

    I’m really sorry but we can’t replicate your problem. All we can say is that the cart session is being “lost” between pages. Can you replicate the problem using the Twenty Eleven theme with all other plugins deactivated?

    yes, i tried that too.

    I tried again just now and didn’t work.

    It would seem to be a server sessions issue. I think you’ll need to ask Hostgator to investigate this further.

    Ok, i installed fresh and added 1 product and worked with no issues. With this , we discard any server issue.

    Then, I imported 15 products and the error show again.

    This time i tried bluehost.

    I went and deleted 14 products and compare all the fields with the one i manually entered and work, and I think the error was coming from the second description field (was empty). Now it works, I need to go on each product and make sure all the fields are correctly imported.
