eShop cart alway empty, set to Downloads only but still displays Shipping Rates

  • Having several issues here. My site is https://www.jawshack.com and the page with the download is https://www.jawshack.com/portfolio/promo/ That’s the only one. First, since it’s specified as downloads only, shouldn’t the Shipping Rates page link have gone away? It’s still everywhere, taunting me.

    The biggest problem is that when you go to the cart it always displays ’empty’. I saw earlier that a user who also uses FatCow as their webhost had this problem, perhaps that’s why, but if so, how do I fix it? What do I tell them? Thanks.

    have you tried deleting, or just putting that page into draft status?

    The shipping rates page? No, I’ll do that. What about the cart not working though? That’s the major issue.

    can’t really help with it, as there are obvious problems with fatcow hosting.

    but I usually suggest the following:
    disable all other plugins, change to default theme. If it works, then re-enable 1 by 1 till you find the culprit.

    Also try changing permalinks to a default setting -as someone identified a fault with that.

    And finally check htaccess, make sure nothing strange in there.

    If all that fails, ask your hosting if there are any issues with php sessions on your server.

    Sigh. Thanks, did that when I posted this, any other plugins that might circumvent this issue?
