• I am trying to set up an eshop based on wordpress mu and have some questions.

Firstly, it seems for the users to be able to create products I need to enable them to see the plugins page (and therefore be able to change the plugins). This is not ideal. I don’t want them to have access to ALL our plugins… just eshop. Even then I don’t want them to be able to diddle ad nauseum with eshop but really just be able to set their paypal email and upload products.
    Is this possible?
This would seem – to me – to be the way it would need to be used in a wpmu environment.

I am having a tough time googling for results of people setting up eshop and wpmu, so any help would be appreciated.

The wpmu forums would probably get you better answers.

Well the plugin has to be activated via the plugins page for each ‘blog’ – if that is what you were asking. But other than that so far as i am aware eShop works fine on wpmu.

By default in WPMU, users have access to all plugin, or they don’t. What you’re asking for, you’ll need to do some extra work and coding so that only usersd you want to see certain areas see those areas.

You could use the Plugin Commander to activate it sitewide for everyone though. You’d have to edit the plugin directly to hide menu areas you don’t want users touching.

Did you get anywhere with this? It’s an awesome idea!
