• I installed eShop and it told me to do this:

eShop 3.3.2 is now ready to use. You must now deactivate and re-activate the plugin.

I do as the instruction says but every time it says the same thing.

  • Cant help you directly but I do know that an updated version of eShop was released earlier today and you’re not using the latest version (currently 3.3.4). If you’ve not started to use the plugin yet, can I suggest that you deactivate and delete it and then download the latest version? Meanwhile, I’ll flag this up for the plugin’s developer.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Installed version 3.3.4 but doesn’t solve the problem. Tried also to deactivate all other plugins.

    wp version: 2.5.1

kurtv – you really need to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress.

the issue is caused when some directories are not created – though the plugin is supposed to fail when it is unable to do so.

So can you check for the existence of:
    wp-content/eshop-downloads
    and
    wp-content/uploads/eshop-files

Going to try removing it and downloading it again, did upgrade it directly from admin cp but trying what you said now.

I deactivated it, deleted it from my server, downloaded the latest version, uploaded it again, activated it, then:

eShop 3.3.4 is now ready to use. You must now deactivate and re-activate the plugin.

    Keeps coming up.

    were those 2 directories created?

I just added them but still doesn’t work.

ok make sure they are writable – you may need to chmod them to 777 – then deactivate/reactivate eShop and see if that gets rid of it.

Not sure if this started immediately after updating to 3.3.4 but but my Featured Products widget stopped working. I have checked the page post numbers and removed widget and added again. Tried TEXT and Pics. Nothing shows except the title of the widget.
What else can I try? It was working, I did change some products, made them child of Page where they weren’t before. And I did recheck the page/post numbers and used commas. ??
    Thanks for any advice.

Well it fixed itself, i had ben playing with Mamp permissions, I guess that soehow broke it.
