• Hi there,

Great plugin which is really helping us with an issue around lazy loading background images. One issue however – we’ve noticed that the character encoding on image captions is being affected by the plugin, so that escaped characters are being inserted. M&G becomes M&> for example.

Is this anything you cna help with?

    Hey @thecueball,

I just tried to reproduce that and added M&amp ;G (without the space before ;, it is just to prevent the conversion here in the post) to an image caption field via the media library. But in the frontend I correctly get M&G. Could you describe in detail where you add the caption and which options of Lazy Loader are in use? And can you provide an example on the site you posted where I can see the output?

    Best,
    Florian

    Hi Florian

Thanks for the quick response – you can see it in the caption on this page:

We’ve definitely narrowed the problem down to when Lazy Loader is activated – we’re using the webhooks option to replace background images which may be the issue? (because our theme uses a lot of background images for the category boxes etc, we’re working to change all of those).

    Hey,

thanks for the example. Which plugin do you use for creating the content (if possible, could you maybe also post a list of all active plugins)? I can see that it is some kind of page builder?

    Hi Florian

It’s the Tagdiv Newspaper page builder. Think it’s a fork of Visual Composer. tagdiv.com/

    Hi @thecueball,

thanks! Could you send me a copy of the theme and page builder plugin files so that I can try to reproduce the error? You can find my email address here: https://florianbrinkmann.com/en/contact/

    Thanks,
    Florian
