Errors while trying to install plugins bundled with theme
-
Hello,
I am experiencing a rather odd issue:
I installed WordPress 4.0.1 on a VPS, running Plesk 12.
I uploaded a purchased theme which includes a couple of plugins. When I initially tried to install the bundled plugins I received a message telling me that the plugins could not be installed (connection to https://www.website.com:80 was refused) – just as a sample domain.
After that I asked support to check it out, since I could not find any reference to this on the web (although the issue is kind of familiar).
I am assuming that they made some changes to the httpd config file since at this point, if I try to replicate the issue I get: Could not download file. File not found.I used the same theme on a different webhost (running cPanel – shared) and everything worked just fine.
Did you guys ran into this sort of issue when using wordpress on a VPS?
Please advise if you have any suggestions or tips.
Thank you very much
