Errors when uploading style sheet?

  • I keep getting this when I try to update the style sheet:

    failed to open stream: Permission denied

    You don’t have the files permissions set correctly to allow you to edit the theme files using the theme editor.

    Use an FTP client like FileZilla, download the files, edit them there using a text editor, then upload them again. This is safer in the long run.

    This one also:

    The “parent” is wp-content.
    You have to make it writable – on Apache you chmod 777, there must be something similar on win servers, I guess…

    Make the /wp-content/uploads directory 777 instead. That’s usually good enough.

    I also get this when i try and load an image:

    Unable to create directory D:\inetpub\vhosts\hybrid-racing.com\httpdocs\blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Is there anyone you recommend who i can pay to fix these issues?
