    Hi,
I am receiving these errors on my Facebook business manager. We haven’t change any code in the code parameters. It was working properly before, till yesterday that we received these messages:

    1. Server Sending Invalid Match Key Parameters for AddToCart Event
Your server is sending an invalid ip_address parameters value for your AddToCart event. This may be because there was an error in the parameter value.

    2. Server Sending Invalid Match Key Parameters for ViewCategory Event
Your server is sending an invalid ct, st, zip parameters value for your ViewCategory event. This may be because there was an error in the parameter value.

    How can I fix it?

    Hi @mjmontero

We’ve been in touch with Facebook about this error in the past, and this is what we’ve learned from their replies:

? this warning only occurs with server to server events (added in Facebook for WooCommerce v2.0)
? it can be the result of a platform issue – which wouldn’t be fixable from within the plugin
? Facebook will not share more specific event data with us for privacy reasons
? there aren’t any events in the plugin’s logs with missing user_agents or ip_addresses

Facebook has assured us that they’re looking into providing more information for this error in a future release, such as showing the affected URL and the parameter and what is wrong with it. They did also mention, however, that even with some additional details, it would not likely be able to be resolved by the plugin, as it can be at the platform level.

They weren’t able to pass along an expected date for release, though they did mention that there are often feature updates added after the holidays.

It seems that at this moment, we’ll need to wait for this release before looking at the Invalid Match Key parameter further. Please do let us know if you hear something different directly from Facebook!

So, as I understand there is not immediate solution? We will need to wait for facebook release? We are concerned that our campaigns and selling are being affected by this. Our facebook adds and store are affected.

How do I know about this release, if its not from the plugin?

Hi @mjmontero. I’m sorry that we don’t have any further information at this time. As you noted, the update would be coming from Facebook and would not reflect in the plugin. You would notice any changes in the messaging in the Facebook Business Manager.

    Having the same issue,

The advanced matching value for [ct] is missing, or is formatted incorrectly.

The plugin is working fine in 2 another domains.

Once you have any update we will appreciate guys.

    Thanks.

Continue having issues with these parameters I mentioned before. I have been investing lots of time to figure out want can be happening. I did notice some errors directly in the Facebook for Woocommmerce that I think can be affecting the Pixel data.

By some reason in some products of the store the parameters are not been pass correctly, for example I have a machine that has 3 options because of its colors. When the data is passed to Facebook store a fourth option is added with a 0 in the price, creating problems in the gathering of data.

Another example is the product if passed but without price, all of them appear at 0, and by consequence they are not shown in facebook catalog. This creates when the user clicks “Add to cart” button to give an error message

The Facebook pixel activated 2 times on this web page, which can cause errors in your event tracking

What can I do? I already force push the transfer of data to see if the prices where pass correctly but nothing has helped.

    Hi @mjmontero

This kind of problem can be caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

@amandasjackson the issue I am having is with the passing of the information of the wordpress to the facebook store, even thought I change of theme and disable plugins I still have issues of how the data is passed. The issue is presented in products that have more than one option to choose.. As I mentioned before this is creating duplication of data events.. and creating issues in my facebook adds.
