• Using WordPress 5

I downloaded this plugin and activated today. I got an Access Token from Mapbox and plugged it into the Settings. I created a map. I copied the shortcode. I pasted shortcode on a Page. Shortcode given: [wp_mapbox_gl_js map_id=”278″]

On this page, I am seeing markup all over the page that includes the map marker. I see no map, just text everywhere. All that is rendered are some HTML tags and some other attributes associated with the data.

I tried deactivating and uninstalling plugin, then reinstalling. This did not help. I tried using a different Access Token. This did not help.

    Please and thank you.

I created a new map. It appears to be working. Not sure why my first map wasn’t rendering with shortcode, but likely a database error, or something outside my pay grade.

    Thanks

The problem has come back. When I use a shortcode, the page renders a bunch of html with meta attributes, instead of a map. I’ve now tried creating two maps and the same problem arises.
