• Hello can anyone help please, i am getting the following errors displayed on my website

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/dmastermind.com/subdomains/pants/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-theme/default/default.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/pantsmatters.org.uk/httpdocs:/tmp) in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/pantsmatters.org.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/wpsc-constants.php on line 306

I dont understand what this means? and how i can solve it, some help would really be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • The wp-ecommerce plugin needs access to a PHP function that is currently not available on your hosting account. So you either need to speak to your hosts or try using another ecommerce plugin.

If i speak to my host what will i need to ask them? sorry I am new to this.

Send them a copy of the error message and ask if they can lift the open_basedir restriction. My guess is that they will say no.
