Errors needing to clear cache for content to display

  • For the past five days, after around 8 pm, I noticed that the Reader Favourites and Trending Now images are not visible. I have emptied my browser cache. Now after clearing my BigScoots hosting cache, the photos do appear, but the next day at around 8 pm, there not visible again, and this cycle repeats.?What is causing these errors? Can I add any cache exclusions to the server to prevent this WordPress Popular Posts plugin from caching?

    Hi @jazzmink,

    Chances are that BigScoots’ page caching rules are too aggressive. Is this something that’s user configurable? If so, make sure that the page cache expires every 24 hours or less (I recommend every 12 hours at least).

    How do I know if this is something that is user configurable? With BigScoots I do have WP Rocket for caching. Do I need to ask BigScoots to change the page cache expires to every 24 hours or less?

    WP Rocket should have some related configuration page where you can set the expiry time of your site’s page cache. I’d tell you where exactly but I’m not familiarized enough with the plugin to provide more details so consider reaching out to either BigScoots’ support team or to WP Rocket’s for assistance with that if needed.
