    Using Yoast 11.5 and Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool, I found the following in my structured data:

    author

    @type

    Thing
    @id  https://www.hypnoticdreams.com/schema/person/daniel/#author
    name A value for the name field is required.

    The URL in the @id doesn’t exist, and Google is reporting that the NAME is a required field missing a value.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Enabling Author Archives from Search Appearance settings fixed it to me. Although this seems to be a plugin bug, because it outputs wrong id and creates a separate Person object with different id.

    I am NOT going to enable author archives. I’m the only person posting to my web site, and I altered the author byline link to take visitors to my About Me page.

    The latest update’s fixed the problem.

    No. Yoast 11.6 fixed the name. But the URL in the @id is even more ridiculous than before.

    I don’t know where it’s getting that URL from, but it’s not in my user settings.

    @mesmer7 We’d welcome you to submit an issue report for the author URL directly at our development repository so our development team can look into this further.

    Closed. No further questions.
