    Hi there,

I have read through all the topics here.
However, after trying all the suggested steps we are still experiencing problems with Analytics Google Kit on our page.

We are now running on PHP 8 and see the following error messages in Analytifs and AdSense Dashboards

    Data error in Analytics
<p>There has been a critical error on this website.</p><p>Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.</p>

In Analytics the overview shows correctly however
Top content over the last 7 days as well as Top acquisition channels over the last 7 days shows the error.

In AdSense the overview shows correctly, however Performance by page over the last 28 days is also showing the error.

    Appreciate any helo with this.
I can also provide you with credentials for the back-end or FTP.

    The site effected is https://www.livetube.tv

Many thanks for your support with this

Just to add, yes we have tried troubleshoot mode and disabled all other plugins. But the failure stays. We have also several times deactivated deleted and re-installed and re-connected. No errors in our site health and we have a huge setup with 1G Memory limit and 64GB Ram on server.

    Hi @shelon,

Thanks for opening a support topic. As the “Critical Error” notice is a generic WordPress error please share the following and we can hopefully determine more on this:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you see any notices when checking your Site Health status? (this is different to your Site Health information above).
    3. Can you share any console errors you encounter on the Analytics screen where you see this notice? You can use a service such as Imgur to share a screenshot, or simply copy and paste and errors in to your response.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Note also that I do see some browser console errors on the front end of your website, including mixed content notices. We can perform some additional checks once we have the above information.

HI James, I have provided the health info.
Also we see 500 database connection errors in the Console.
Please see the screenshots attached as per your request

Many thanks for sharing, very useful indeed. To firstly rule out third party plugin or theme related issues can you perform the steps below:

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    3. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    4. Attempt to view your Analytics dashboards once more

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.`

If the same occurs can you share the following:

    1. Was Site Kit was working as expected for you previously, and if did this start occurring after a particular change (ie. Updating to PHP 8?)
    2. Can you share a screenshot or details of any errors or warnings when checking your Site Health status?

HI there, we have done all what you described. The failure stays as is.
We did not see the plugin working correctly.
We only installed the plugin 3 days ago when PHP 8 was already running.

Sorry to hear that’s not working while in troubleshooting mode. Can you share a screenshot or details of any errors or warnings when checking your Site Health status?

@shelon Just checking in here –?are you still having this trouble? If so, can you share your Site Health status information with us so that we can take another look for you? Thanks!

Hi there and thanks for getting back

We had performed all steps described by your already and I had also shared the outcome here already. The same happens in troubleshoot mode, so it seems not to be plugin related.

With regards to PHP8 – we have only started using the plugin when the site was already converted to PHP 8

Please advise on any next steps, shall I grant back-end access so that you can look at the situation directly?

    Thanks

And with regards to Site Health – I had sent this information too. There are no errors reported there.

As info: We have heavy cron jobs running sometimes affecting database connection. But this should only temporarily prevent Site Kit from accessing the database but not resulting in a permanent error.

Also we notice, that most of the data is shown correctly.
So the connection can be established. It is just related to some of the Google Analytics Windows in the dashboard.

    Hope this helps

Many thanks for sharing the additional insights.

Your Site Health status is different to your Site Health information. If you could share this it may help determine any issue on your site overall, not specific to Site Kit.

Unfortunately it’s not possible for us to login to users sites.

This is useful. Database errors can be sometimes determined from checking your Site Health status. Rather than checking for database errors are you able to setup another WordPress install on the same hosting platform? I ask so because the range of errors encountered from your previous screenshot indicate there is something blocking access to the Google service. As you’ve already ruled out third party plugins let’s check with your current hosting platform. Let me know if you’re able to perform this check with another clean site. Depending on your platform it may be possible to seutp a one click WordPress install.

If you’re unable to setup another WordPress site I can also provide you with some checks you can perform on the hosting side.

Just following up with you to see if you’re still encountering the same issue, and if so have you been able to check from another WordPress site on the same hosting platform?

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
