Have any of you any idea what could cause these errors? Many thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for reporting this. It looks like an issue related to Username Font Color (logged in users in roles) option. I added this to TODO list for the next release, but in the meantime you can:
    – reset all colors defined in Username Font Color (logged in users in roles)
    – delete the chat and install again without selecting colors in Username Font Color (logged in users in roles) option
    – disable debug mode both in WordPress and Wise Chat

    Best regards

Thanks but all colours were default / not assigned anyway.
Username Display Mode is Plain Text
The only item in the Message Appearance section that was modified was Username Link Template.

@marcinlawrowski The non-pro version is getting mightily confused at times… Interested in a screenshot of errors in mid-chat and when registered users get booted to a new username like Anonymousxxxx? If it helps you, I’ll send it via your site online form – let me know.

    Thanks

    Hello @fdittmar

I will address the issue you reported in the next version of Wise Chat (2.6.3) soon. This will be fixed. This is indeed not related to the colors.

Please send the screenshots links through our contact form here: https://kaine.pl

    Thank you very much!

    Have a nice day.

Thanks, 2.6.3 installed and should have new students the week after next. Will let you know if something doesn’t work.

Btw, the issue I mentioned in the email feedback where the chat input box does not position at top or bottom of chat window but somewhere in the middle of the chat session (and with the lines – {% if inputControlsBottomLocation %} & {% endif inputControlsTopLocation %} at the very top and bottom) is definitely related to the setting ‘Message List Appearance – Message Limit’.
If I have it too high e.g. 1000 instead of 500 messages to load at startup then the errors occur – likely to be resource issues I guess but wouldn’t know how to troubleshoot it. (using WP 4.9.6 with 768MB memory limit and PHP 7.1.18 with 128 max post and 120 max time)
If it’s of any use to you and you want me to test anything specific then I’m happy to do so – in the meantime I will just have the students see 500 chat lines only and will increase the limit at the end of the 6 week course, copy all the chatlines out to a pdf and then distribute that so that students have a full record.

    thanks
