Hi, we are trying to restore a backup and am getting errors. We asked GoDaddy to try and help and they emailed us this (were at day 4 of being down):
    Randy,
I have been able to track down the issues with restoring the database backup you have provided. There are syntax errors in the backup file itself. It seems that the plugin that you used to back up the content may have caused these errors. A suggestion that I have if our admin team is unable to get this taken care of on their end, would be to reach out to that plugin developer to see if they are able to further assist with the backup that they have provided for you. They may have a specific restore procedure for it to work with this type of backup.

The good news is that it does show to have full contents of the database, its just a matter of getting it imported which seems to be the issue we are seeing here.

Is this something you could help resolve?
    Thank you very much,
    Randy

Just FYI – while I couldn’t help with the errors, we were able to help get their database restored. If this happens to others, please reach out and I’ll walk you through the database troubleshooting.

Marking this as resolved since we’re on to bigger and better issues with Randy’s site ??

    Kat
