Hello @6288media and @jorgeti
First of all, in my previous comment, I suggested opening a ticket on the internal system, but by accident, I added the details request for another plugin (Zettle). My apologies for the confusion. This is the link you need to engage our team for an issue with WooCommerce Paypal Payments: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/how-to-request-support-via-widget-on-the-website/
What you mentioned is indeed a bug, the difference of date notation is not how it should be. However, this is not the cause of the error message you are receiving and is only a visual bug. The next release (1.3.2) will have this corrected and both fields will note “MM/YY”. No errors are caused by entering the date in either way.
Now for the issue at hand, we have just opened an internal development ticket for the error you are seeing “Unfortunately, your credit card details are not valid”. Unfortunately, this will not make it to the next release, but we are pushing this bug to be picked up ASAP.
When this error occurs the payment does go through, and the user is then sent to the Order Complete page, so no direct damage is done to the customers or merchant. The errors seem to occur if a customer updates any of their information fields, like the address fields. The number of errors seems to correspond to the number of fields that were updated. We are still investigating the actual cause of this, but are able to replicate the issue, so we are making progress.
At this moment we cannot share more details, but we have this on our radar and will do our best to solve this in the next possible release.
Thank you again for your input and the time you spent testing this.
Kind regards,
Joost
