If I try to activate it will conflict with Gutentor. I cannot load Gutentor blocks. I have compared two sites and deactivated all plugins until I found this error. After deactivating Gutenberg Blocks Library & Toolkit – Editor Plus, the Gutentor blocks load properly.

The inspector console in Chrome gives the following information.

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘icon’)

  • I am getting the same thing with the Getwid blocks. I finally found that if I disable this plugin (Editor Plus by Extendify), then I can edit the Getwid section blocks. I can reactivate the Editor Plus plugin after editing the Getwid blocks and everything shows up fine on the live site.

There is obviously an incompatibility between Editor Plus by Extendify and other template block plugins.

Thank you to report that, I will try to debug this. Did you report the same to other block plugins as well? If not I would advise doing that.

    Cheers

    Hey @meekercoop @bloke

I just did a quick test and was unable to produce any bug/issue with both plugins as mentioned in this ticket.

Here’s a quick screencast for the Getwid plugin active with EditorPlus and seems to function fine.

I would advise debugging this issue on your website by disabling all other plugins to see if the conflict is caused by some other plugin.

    Thanks

    Thank you, Munir.

Upon further investigation, I have disabled other block plugins one at a time and discovered that there are 2 plugins that when both are activated, I am unable to edit the Getwid blocks. Yours (Editor Plus) and Gutenberg.

If I disable either one, I am able to edit the Getwid blocks. When both are activated, I cannot edit the Getwid blocks.

So it could be something to do with the Gutenberg plugin, but the combination of Editor Plus and the Gutenberg plugin causes an error that does not allow you to edit the Getwid bocks.

I may not need the Gutenberg plugin activated as I was using it to play with FSE. Maybe once it’s part of the WP core this issue will go away? In the meantime, please try adding the Gutenberg plugin and see if you are getting the same errors as I am.

    Hello Munir,

Thank you for updating your plugin. It now plays nice with Gutenberg.

I had updated to WP 5.9 and had the same issues as before when Gutenberg was installed along with your plugin. I notice this has been fixed. Great plugin, thank you!
