Errors and Warnings Not Updating

After I go into my site and make the requested fixes, the error or warning count is not adjusting. I’m pretty sure I’m taking care of things! For example, I went in and changed the code so that links would not open in a new window by hand. The change isn’t registering. I am not using a caching plugin.
