These go on forever, with events every 5 minutes or so. If I disable Wordfence plugin, all errors cease. It’s also causing my website to reach its CPU limits and break the website. Can you please look into this? Thank you.

  • Hi @underthecover,

This seems to be caused by the Wordfence update being terminated abruptly. Can you reinstall Wordfence to see if those errors go away?

Also, if you happen to be on LiteSpeed, here’s an article to help you prevent these types of issues in the future.

    Hi Dave,

We tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wordfence, but the issue persists.
    We are not using LiteSpeed.

My hosting provider tells me I need to upgrade my hosting pack, but this started happening suddenly, without us changing the configurations. Thanks for your help.

    Hi @underthecover,

    Thanks for the update.

Have you had a chance to check via sFTP or your hosting control panel to see if the files mentioned in the Warnings exist?

How did you reinstall? Can you try completely setting Wordfence to see if it helps?

    Hi Gerroald,

Thanks for following up on this.
We did re-install the plugin and the Warnings related to Wordfence have stopped. The others remain, but I guess it’s a different plugin causing those. We still haven’t figured out which one… Thanks for your help!

    Hi @underthecover,

Thanks for the update, and happy to hear it!

It might be worth checking with your host regarding the other Warnings. They may not have the right sockets open to complete the processes. Either way, the Warning shouldn’t cause any issues.

Please let us know if anything else comes up.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
