• Easy to design the template and to upload the data spreadsheet. It looks great at first but then you notice errors.

I am a director of a company and although I have quite a bit of programming experience, website management is not meant to be my daily job. I need to rely on a site that doesn’t require micro-management. MGP is not working for me.

When I first designed my site with MPG I wanted to use geo-location phone numbers to target customers within a 100 mile radius. The generated pages looked ok on a desktop but when viewing on a squashed device such as mobile cell phone the number turns to the text that’s in the template: {{mpg_phone}}. To remove this error I could use only the one phone number that’s linked directly to the head office. This is pretty useless if you’re trying to appear “local” if you have only got one area code. This means that I should rather have an 0800 number. Customers don’t like calling 0800 numbers and a mobile number isn’t professional.

Having to live with this fault I discovered another serious one:

A few months after I launched the site, ALL of my mpg-pages returned 404 error to google. They were non-existent. Thankfully ThemeIsle does communicate by email, and they said I should use an older version of the plugin. Time and time again I reverted back, but the issue was still there. Most times it returns a 404 error, but sometimes it’s showing the template with a page full of {{mpg_village}} where it’s meant to pop the data from the spreadsheet.

ThemeIsle seem to have great reviews so I bought the life-time membership. It’s been less than a year and they are refusing a refund.

A few years back I used to use their contact form plugin Gutenberg and this thing also stopped working. So I don’t really have much confidence in ThemeIsle. Not sure why everyone else gives them such great reviews.

    Hi Missizaza,

Thank you for sharing your review about MPG plugin and we’re sorry to hear about the issues encountered.

I know we’re communicating about this via emails as you have PRO subscription and in case you’re still ready to cooperate we really want to solve the issues encountered. We were not able to replicate the problems you mentioned so we needed a test instance where this happens to troubleshoot this further.

As for the money-back guarantee we have 30 days period of when the payment can be refunded and as your payment was made almost a year ago we are not able to provide a refund for it, unfortunately.

Thank you for your understanding and I hope we will be able to serve you in the future.

    Hi Vytis

You have access to my wordpress account and although you said you fixed it, the problem was still there. I have since deleted the templates because I don’t want my customers to see thousands of pages with {{mpg}} syntax all over it. I have already created the pages manually and am no longer interested in using your faulty plugin.

When I bought the life-time membership in March 2022, where in your terms and conditions does it say: “no matter how faulty our software is you will not get a refund after 30 days”?

    Hi @missizaza,

I’m sorry again about the problems that you encountered, we are open for discussion and to help you fix them, we were always cooperating and trying to solve the issue that was happening on your website.

Regarding the refund, the common practice is always to define under what circumstances the refund can be provided and it includes 30 days period only. We cannot issue a refund after using a product for 1 year.

I hope you’ll continue using MPG in the future.
