    Dear @webtoffee and @cookieyesdev

    We are currently trialling your ‘CookieYes’ plugin on our staging site and it looks very promising.

    However, we have come across a few issues and wonder whether you have a solution:

    1. Error in GTag Tracking

    We see an Error inside the Tag Assistant for the Gtag.

    What is surprising is that this error only occurs, when we ‘accept’ the cookie notice.
    It does not occur when when ‘scroll to accept’ or when we click ‘settings’ and then ‘save & accept’.

    Would you know the cause and a solution?

    We use PixelYourSite for tracking scripts, e.g. FB, Google, Pinterest, Bing, …

    2. Accept after Delay not working

    The setting ‘Auto-hide (Accept) cookie bar after delay’ seems to have no effect, other than hiding the cookie bar after a certain time.

    On our website, it does not trigger a refresh/reload via Ajax. Is this the intention?

    We were expecting that if the setting triggers an auto-hide that it would also trigger an Ajax refresh to set the cookies.

    3. Cookies Missing

    The cookie scanner is an excellent service but it seems to miss some cookies, such as Facebook, Pinterest, Bing, etc.

    Is the only solution to add them manually?

    4. Cookies Not Blocked

    We noticed that some cookies are not blocked, until the cookie notice is accepted, even though they are included in the list.

    Is there a reason for this? Should we ensure they are blocked until the cookie notice has been accepted and would we do this?

    Dear Support,

    We noticed today the following:

    If we change the setting for ‘Reload after Accept button click’ from ‘Yes’ to ‘No’, then we find that:
    – when we click ‘accept’ there is no error for the Gtag, but
    – if we click ‘settings’ and then ‘save & accept’, none of the Tracking Tags are firing, i.e. Google, Facebook, Pinterest, Bing, …

    It certainly seems like an issue that needs further looking into.

    Hi @pairfumlondon,

    The reason for the “misbehavior” of the plugin is that PixelYourSite team has added some code in their plugin such that it reads the accept button click event and executes the script accordingly. So any issues with that could only be resolved by checking with them.

    As for the cookies being not fully blocked, you must add the script of the cookies via our plugin itself, to block them.

    Cookie scanner is capable of finding all cookies that are set via the incognito or private windows of browser. Session cookies that appear only when a google account sign in is detected, won’t be available in the scan result. We are working on improving the scanner.
